About the role
In this role, you will join a team of specialists leading community and stakeholder engagement for major and complex capital works projects that are critical to the delivery of water and wastewater services throughout Western Australia. Your work will directly influence project success and community outcomes. We have 2 opportunities available, a permanent part-time (0.6FTE), and a 2-year fixed term (full time) based in our Leederville office.
We’re looking for someone with substantial experience in developing and implementing community engagement and communication strategies. You’ll bring a proven track record of delivering impactful engagement initiatives that support project goals and build trust with stakeholders, ideally within the context of large infrastructure projects.
What the role will involve
- Lead strategic situation analysis in planning and delivering stakeholder and community engagement strategies, activities, and materials
- Drive complex engagement initiatives that influence key business outcomes and involve diverse stakeholder groups
- Provide expert advice to ensure the development of high-quality communications and external relations materials
- Facilitate multi-agency collaboration to strengthen community and stakeholder interactions
- Apply innovative thinking to explore diverse perspectives and implement unique improvement initiatives

About you
- Tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, marketing or a related discipline
- Substantial experience in community engagement, stakeholder and issues management
- Positive, effective communication style with strong influencing skills
- Proven ability to work independently in high-pressure environments, managing competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills and an ability to summarise complex issues for common use
- Strong alignment with Water Corporation’s values and behaviours, contributing to a constructive and high-performance culture
