We have a permanent opportunity for a Team Leader – Trades Mechanical based at our Balcatta Depot within the Trades Team at Perth Region Feld Services (PRFS). In this role you will motivate, develop and lead a team in providing water & wastewater related services to customers within the Perth region. 

The role will be responsible for organising and executing planned and unplanned work activities to ensure asset availability. You will also participate with other Trades Team Leaders in our Technical Support After-Hours Roster on a rotating basis.

Role responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership by ensuring that all work is undertaken with safety as the highest priority

• Proactively manage employee performance and behaviours in accordance with our Code of Conduct

• Engage, motivate and inspire the team to deliver quality work in accordance with our Technical Standards and Procedures

• Manage the team’s day-to-day resource requirements & workload, prioritising competing demands in line with Service Delivery Objectives

• Contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of Operational Plans

• Maintain a trained and competent workforce by ensuring compulsory training and verification of competency assessments are completed and by identifying professional development and upskilling opportunities for team members

Key skills and experience

• Demonstrable leadership experience within a multi-disciplinary team

• Mechanical Trade or Engineering qualification desirable

• Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or higher; Business or Administration related qualification highly desirable

• Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills

• C Class Driver’s Licence
