Senior Project Manager/Estimator 


Location: Victoria, BC

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time 

Hybrid Option: Hybrid - Office + On-site days

Hours of Work: 8 hours per day, flexible start time (7am-830am)

Start Date: August/September 2025

Position Overview:

The Senior Project Manager/Estimator is responsible to lead all aspects of the job. This includes the estimating, project planning, labour management, procurement, billing, communications, and wrap up of each project. Project types vary from commercial, institutional, and residential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients and identify potential business opportunities 
  • Estimate projects and submit tenders
  • Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
  • Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
  • Manage project financials (including billing), purchasing, schedules and labour
  • Mitigate project risk, deficiencies and estimate changes as needed
  • Work with internal stakeholders, field staff and customers, to ensure projects remain on track, on budget and meet expectations
  • Be present on jobsites when required and review project upon completion to discuss success and challenges 
  • Review the project at completion with the supervisor and superintendent to discuss successes and challenges


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of previous experience in Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating with a strong background or knowledge in electrical work within the construction industry
  • Demonstrated experience completing multiple projects from start-up to close out (full project lifecycle)
  • Experience creating detailed project schedules
  • Previous experience with estimating programs, specifically Accubid (Accubid Pro, Change Order, Procore) 
  • Financial acumen and basic understanding of contract law


Assets:

- Red Seal Electrician or electrical engineer is ideal

- PMP Certificate, Gold Seal in Project Management, Project Management Certificate, or equivalent education is ideal
