Your opportunity:

This Network Engineer position is responsible for actioning complex configuration requests from various departments in the organisation for new migrations projects. These requests include modelling and configuration of network services for managed and unmanaged services and customer connections. Also, to assist in the design and implementation of technically complex networks, and act as an escalation point for issues.

You'll make impact by:

  • Designing and managing the delivery of customer services using TPG Telecom networks.
  • Using discretion and judgement to conduct pre-qualification of services to be delivered
  • Diagnosing testing, troubleshooting and configuration of customer network.
  • Responding to internal requests within 24-hour period.
  • Working with solution architects to ensure that non-standard deliveries are captured in specials.
  • Developing and maintaining good customer relations with clients.
  • keeping record of customer services and network inventory in CRM and LSD
  • Managing escalations efficiently to resolution.
  • Identifying potential issues and proactively escalating internally to prevent delivery delays.
  • Focusing on the documentation of network configurations and help other team members to grow.
  • Working as a team to deliver superior customer service and ensure that the most effective path to delivery is taken & provide support on complex designs.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, or other relevant discipline
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and or previous Cisco router experience at a high level
  • Telecommunications industry experience
  • 3- 5 years’ experience in the IT and or Telecommunications industry
  • Advanced experience in network fault analysis and resolution
  • Extensive experience in a Telecommunications/ISP environment
  • Advanced Knowledge of Layer 2 (VLAN) & Layer 3 (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP) technologies
  • Advanced understanding of MPLS IPVPN and Internet Services
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills with Cisco Devices
  • Strong documentation and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
