Your opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Platform Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in API platforms, particularly Apigee, and a good understanding of micro services, AWS Lambda, and event-driven architectures like Kafka. You will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for building, maintaining, and optimising our API platform infrastructure.

You'll make impact by:

• Design, implement, and manage API proxies using Apigee API Gateway.
• Work closely with development teams to integrate micro services and AWS Lambda functions into the API platform.
• Automate proxy generation and deployment using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Support and maintain Apigee Hybrid environments across AWS EKS and GCP.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing API solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot API performance, latency, and error rates.
• Contribute to Kafka-based event streaming integrations and platform enhancements.

What you’ll bring:

• 2–3 years of experience in software development, testing, and architecture, preferably in integration or platform engineering.
• 1–2 years working in cross-functional technology and integration teams.
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling and automation.
• Strong working knowledge of the AWS Cloud platform.
• Familiarity with Terraform-based Apigee deployments across AWS EKS and GCP.

Ideally, you will also have:

• Experience with Apigee Hybrid and API Gateway architecture.
• Understanding of AWS services such as VPC, Security, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, Kinesis, and Managed Kafka.
• Exposure to event-driven architectures and Kafka integration.
• Experience in full-stack development and building resilient, scalable solutions.
• Familiarity with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript frameworks.
