This opportunity

You will be responsible for leading critical commercial decisions against budget requirements such as product / device pricing, responses to competitor moves, and understanding overall market and commercial impacts to offers we’ve put into market. The role is responsible for driving the Fixed product strategy working with data and insights, vetting commercial viability of ideas, business case inputs and approvals through Finance, to help the overall team shape and manage product profitability and population growth through customer acquisition as well as retention campaigns. This is a fantastic opportunity to use initiative in a market that is ever changing and to help drive strategies that impact the commercial direction of Vodafone, TPG and iiNet’s Fixed portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Overall, leading budget, pricing and commercial decision for the Fixed portfolio, including but not limited to NBN, Fixed Wireless Access, Vision Networks, hardware and multi-service bundles, across all group brands, Vodafone, TPG, iiNet et al.
  • Vetting and driving pricing recommendations for tactical offers, new features/product launches and any planned activities to stimulate growth (acquisition and retention) through to commercial modelling and through to Finance or Executive approvals (as required).
  • Monitoring the competitive market, analyse positioning of TPG Group brands and provide recommendations around improving our market share and positioning.
  • Work with Fixed product insights and analytics to guide research, analysis and insights into competitor activity, performance of past offers and customer behaviours in order to help shape propositions that will stimulate growth for the business.
  • Coach and develop direct report/s.
  • Support and coach the wider Fixed Product team to ensure budget and commercial outcomes are factored into all decisions.

Knowledge and experience

  • The role requires exceptional commercial and analytical abilities, excellent communication skills and strong strategic marketing knowledge to be the subject matter expert in Fixed pricing and strategy.
  • Significant experience in commercial, product or business-related field working on pricing, strategy, and/or commercial models.
  • Proven experience in taking data, insights, ideas and turning them into executable initiatives.
  • Exceptional analytical and attention to detail with sound commercial acumen.
  • Strong communication / presentation skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to deal with rapid change and quick pace with resilience and a can-do attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills, with strong stakeholder impact and influence skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
  • Previous Telecommunications experience is a plus.
