Your opportunity:

The Network Services Architecture Team within Cloud Infrastructure and Network Services department is responsible for the architecture development and planning of end-to-end solutions, to enable new and modified network capabilities and to support of TPG’s business and strategic objectives.

This role in the Network Services Architecture Team will focus on the development of Network Services solutions for both Mobile, Fixed and IT Networks, and govern the solutions and designs provided by our vendors and partners. The role will require a close working relationship with the other engineering domains, the broader technology organisation, other business stakeholders, the relevant vendors and industry forums.

You'll make impact by:

  • Engaging with the TPG Business teams, Technology teams, and external stakeholders to gather, assess, and interpret requirements, concepts, strategies, ideas, and providing the business with the relevant inputs to assess and identify viable products and services to help drive TPG's competitive advantage.
  • Creating end-to-end architectures and solutions to provide critical network services, including the collection and analysis of business and technical requirements, identification of impacts/risks, technical capability requirements, costs, and time estimates.
  • Carrying out all the planning required to ensure the Network Security Services Domain meets the capacity, performance, risk, and lifecycle objectives of the business. Initiating and driving all the required initiatives including short, medium, and long-term activities to secure TPG Telecom's aspirations in relation to great customer experience.
  • Being the Subject Matter Expert for the Network Security Services systems and developing plans to ensure the system capacity, performance, and lifecycle is managed and maintained to meet relevant KPIs.
  • Supporting operations team as required in the event of system(s) outage and/or network performance issues.
  • Driving and supporting all Network Security Services projects from initiation through to closure. Providing detailed scope for the project including timing requirements. Working with portfolio managers to agree on scope, time, and budget and then supporting the project through design approval, testing, and project acceptance.

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry with preference to mobility networks
  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of network services and security architectures and frameworks
  • Broad knowledge and experience on 4G and 5G mobile core network technologies and relevant network services architecture solutions
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in network security - including firewalls, IDS/IPS, proxies, AAA including TACACS/Radius, VPN / remove access technologies, DDoS detection & mitigation, IP/MPLS routing, network infrastructure services such DNS, DHCP, IPAM, NTP, load balancing etc
  • Hands on experience with the following vendor equipment is highly desired:
  • Fortinet, Cisco, F5, Juniper, Entrust
