The Health, Safety & Systems Coordinator is an active member of the WHS Team. They will promote WHS best practice and initiatives across TPG Telecom while supporting the business in the delivery of the organisations WHS strategy.
The Health, Safety & Systems Coordinator will act as the system administrator for the organisations safety management system and online incident reporting and investigation portal all hosted on the DoneSafe platform. Role responsibilities include the maintenance and development of the safety management system powered by DoneSafe WHS management software.
It is important that the successful applicate is collaborative in their approach, a team player, has a basic understanding or interest in IT systems and has a passion for health and safety.
Assist with the development and implementation of WHS strategy to ensure regulatory compliance and influence better WHS performance
Provide competent advice to the business on TPG Telecoms Safe Systems of Work and WHS best practice
Act as system administration for the organisations digital safety management system and online incident reporting and investigation portal
Upload, export and manipulate organisational data as necessary to ensure the effective operation of the digital safety management system
Work with internal stakeholders on the development of the digital safety management system
Analysis WHS data to identify trends and opportunities
Generate monthly WHS dashboards and other visual tools using WHS management software to accurately and clearly display WHS data and trends
Assist in the development of Safety Alerts and other WHS communications hosted on internal communications channels
As part of a team, act as the first responder to WHS queries being reported via the Safe & Well email inbox
As part of a team, act as the first responder for WHS incidents and provide competent and timely advise in response to reported incidents
Assist with the investigation of WHS incidents and development of corrective actions arising from investigations
Attend and support company safety committee meetings and other departmental safety forums
Assist with the implementation of the organisations COVID-19 response strategy.
Where required, assist the Return to Work Coordinator with the management of injured workers
Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within a diverse organisation preferred
Demonstrated knowledge and sound understanding of WHS legislation and best practice across all states and territories
Minimum Cert IV in WHS qualification
System administration experience
Competent in data import, export and manipulation
Experience in use of data visualisation tools such as MS Power BI, Domo etc
Intermediate MS Excel experience
Flexible, proactive, self-motivating & able to work autonomously and as part of team
Highly developed and proven written and verbal communication skills
Ability to demonstrate discretion, confidentiality and integrity
