This opportunity

The Senior Treasury Analyst is responsible for assisting the Treasurer with analysing, managing and reporting on the Group’s front office treasury activities including funding and liquidity as well as market risks such as foreign currency (FX) and interest rate exposures. Also assist with developing and maintaining best in class treasury processes, procedures, systems, and controls. 

Responsibilities

Market Risk Management

  • Assist in analysing and recommending hedging strategies to manage the Group’s FX and interest rate risks in accordance with the Treasury Policy.
  • Assist in preparing related hedging papers/memos and managing related transaction administration.
  • Execute approved risk management strategies in line with dealing authorities.

Funding & Liquidity

  • Assist in reviewing and managing ongoing liquidity requirements including cash flow forecasting, loan utilisations, supply chain financing and other structured financing arrangements.
  • Maintain funding and liquidity related spreadsheets, models and filing related documentation.
  • Assist with necessary modelling and analysis to support funding and liquidity forecasts, financing costs and monitoring of debt covenants.

Reporting

  • Assist in the completion of regular reporting such as monthly and quarterly treasury reporting to management, ARC and the Board.
  • Monitor and report on macro-economic conditions and relevant developments in the capital markets.

Policy & processes

  • Assist with developing and maintaining processes, procedures, systems and a control environment in line with best practice and carrying out all activities in accordance with the Treasury policy.
  • Assist with the annual review of the Treasury Policy and updating treasury specific authorities as required.
  • Assist with the consideration and implementation of a Treasury Risk Management System if required.

Knowledge and experience

  • Relevant undergraduate qualifications. Further professional development (for example a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment or CFA Program) will be well regarded. 
  • Front office Treasury experience.
  • Excellent understanding of funding, liquidity, treasury-specific risk management.
  • Results – deliver results, plan, and prioritise, think, and solve problems, demonstrate accountability, challenge the norm, resourceful and can work autonomously when required.
  • Relationships – communicate effectively, can influence, negotiate and work collaboratively.
  • Personal attributes – display resilience and perseverance, act with integrity and value diversity.
