This opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager of Procurement, the Head of Network Procurement will be responsible for managing a team of category managers, developing and overseeing procurement strategies across Network and Infrastructure and driving value creation across the organisation. Supporting delivery of system capabilities and tools to optimise the end to end Procurement process whilst ensuring governance and compliance across Network and Infrastructure suppliers and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and set the strategic direction for the Network Procurement team inline with One Tech priorities. 
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive cost savings and improve efficiencies.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external suppliers and vendors and manage the commercial engagement.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Implement procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Work closely with executives to align Network procurement strategies with TPG’s goals and objectives.
  • Manage procurement-related risks and ensure proper controls are in place to mitigate those risks.

Knowledge and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience in a large enterprise within the telecommunications industry, with a focus on procurement and sourcing.
  • Proven track record of driving cost savings through procurement initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with procurement technology and tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in procurement.
