This opportunity

This role is responsible for providing high level support to the Change and Planning team, focusing on the delivery of the People Experience (PE) function’s planning framework aligned to the organisational planning operating model, and to manage and deliver the Change and Planning team’s operations with a focus on continuous improvement and special projects.

In its planning capacity, this role will act as the planning lead for the PE function, accountable for managing all planning related activity including the planning approach, governance model and deliverables as well as ongoing internal stakeholder management and business reporting.

From a delivery perspective, the role will support the development and execution of key strategic change projects across the business. Sitting within the PE Change & Planning team, you will work closely with our internal stakeholders as well as senior leaders and the Spring Office (central planning office).

Responsibilities

  • Planning lead for the PE function with end-to-end accountability of the team’s planning processes and deliverables.
  • Overall responsibility for the PE Spring program, including but not limited to:
  • Management of the PE planning framework, liaising with key stakeholders to provide support and guidance and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Key conduit between the Spring Office, the business and PE to support the demand and capacity planning for PE in business wide initiatives. This will involve working closely with business leads, PE SMEs and the Spring Office through briefing sessions, playbacks and reporting.
  • Attendance at all relevant Spring forums, accountable for updates and actions.
  • Tracking and maintenance of all PE initiatives and associated reporting.
  • Development of tools and resources to streamline processes within PE (in the context of Spring).
  • Project management and operational support for special projects such as internal engagement sessions and training programs. This may include developing and managing project plans, stakeholder communications and presentations, event/session registrations and liaising with attendees, and management of all governance forums and artefacts such as status reports.
  • Lead on key reporting deliverables for the change and planning team, which will involve the creation, management and distribution of specific reports on a regular basis to relevant stakeholders, including senior leaders. This will involve working closely with the team’s Change Leads to collate the necessary data.
  • Developing and maintaining the change team’s internal SharePoint sites, artefacts and collateral.
  • Embed operational procedures to create efficiency and consistency within change team (e.g. Standardising and building templates and dashboards, building and maintaining a centralized planner board).
  • Management of Planning and Delivery Coordinator and overall accountability for their deliverables.

Knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrated organisational, planning and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in mapping, analysing and reporting data from a variety of sources.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and drive continuous business improvement opportunities and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders to achieve strategic priorities and outcomes against firm timelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confidence presenting and engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
  • Confidence using a range of digital tools (e.g. PowerBI, Jira and Confluence).
  • A flexible, curious, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and an independent thinker.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a commercial and pragmatic approach.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
