Your opportunity:

The IOT & MPN Account Manager Role has direct ownership of our top IOT & MPN accounts within the Enterprise and Government team, and is responsible for retaining and growing revenue, and being the chief advocate for your customers.

You'll make impact by:

  • Building an intimate knowledge of your customers business and identifying every opportunity to provide value to them while maximising TPGs share of wallet.
  • Running regular and structured engagement sessions with key customer stakeholders to ensure a high level of satisfaction with TPG and the services we provide.
  • Engaging across all levels of your key accounts to understand their priorities and objectives.
  • Being the point of escalation for all customer commercial, operational and account management issues.
  • Managing commercial engagements such as resigns, product expansion or price changes to minimise any risk of customer impact or churn.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in IOT and MPN products and market trends.
  • Engaging multiple stakeholders within TPG to navigate complex customer problems or opportunities and ensuring fast and effective resolution.
  • Working with other sales and pre-sales resources to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Advocating for your customers internally within TPG to ensure a high customer experience and maximum share of wallet.
  • Providing market feedback and identifying development opportunities to assist our product and partner teams to drive roadmap and product enhancements
  • Achieve key monthly, quarterly and annual revenue objectives within the allocated portfolio
  • Working closely with commercial and product teams to identify risks and opportunities within your portfolio and define and execute an effective strategy to address.
  • Representing TPG at industry forums and trade association events whenever requested and continually promoting the company and its services via Linkedin or other relevant professional networking platforms and forums.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate customer contact, pipeline and any other required information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, i.e. Salesforce.
  • Attend weekly sales team meetings to:
  • Review quality and accuracy of Salesforce pipeline
  • Review week on week sales activity and key pipeline movements
  • Agree kick off and approach to any upcoming tenders and opportunities
  • Review status of all active pursuits
  • Review short- and long-term Customer relationship quality and key relationship development activities
  • Review open customer issues, actively assisting in resolutions and ensuring timely escalation (eg to Sales Leadership) wherever required

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Keeping track on local competitor activity, reporting any significant developments to the sales team and TPG executives (including Sales, Product, Service etc).
  • Co-operating with cross functional leaders within TPG to increase the value the company delivers to all its customers.

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years in account management role within a technology organisation.
  • Thorough understanding of business, technology and financial trends in Australia that influence purchasing decisions.
  • Highly experienced in using a “business solutions” type approach, utilising TPG’s product and services to identify customer needs and sell into applicable market sectors.
  • Ability to proactively identify and create new opportunities within your customer accounts.
  • Proven cultivator and ‘closer’ of sales opportunities at the Enterprise organisation level
  • Excellent presentation skills.
