Your opportunity:

As our valued Senior Project Manager, you will play a vital role in the delivery of the Fibre Network and EGW Sale to Vocus initiative, ensuring that project objectives are met within scope, time, and budget constraints. This critical initiative is essential to TPG Telecom’s operational goals, with responsibilities spanning budget oversight, schedule management, resource coordination, supplier engagement, stakeholder alignment, and quality assurance.

You'll make impact by:

  • Engage with key stakeholders both internally and externally to define and execute project deliverables across the entire project lifecycle. Excellent communication skills are a key requirement. 
  • Establish and oversee the project structure to ensure effective stakeholder participation and milestone tracking. 
  • Manage and maintain project scope and coordinate closely with the Technology Network Services Solution team to address technical requirements and project objectives. 
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain contingency plans as needed. 
  • Drive communications strategies for comprehensive stakeholder engagement. 
  • Ensure resource allocation aligns with project timelines and highlight any critical needs for proactive planning. 
  • Oversee quality assurance, ensuring projects adhere to TPG standards and best practices. 
  • Finalize all operational and documentation requirements upon project completion, including acceptance into operational support. 
  • Ensure safety and wellbeing for all team members and stakeholders involved in the project. 
  • Protect TPG Telecom's brand and reputation by maintaining information security throughout project execution. 
  • Develop and implement the financial management framework for project tracking, from budgeting and funding approval through cost management and asset capitalization. 
  • Facilitate internal reviews and audits as requested. 
  • Manage business sponsor and stakeholder expectations, ensuring change management is supported through timely and relevant updates. 


What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Project/Program Management, preferably with direct exposure to delivery of Fixed Broadband networks in a carrier environment or large vendor or Fixed Network products and services. 
  • Experience in managing projects relating to Fixed Networks, Fibre Networks, OSS Systems, IP Networks, Device Management Systems, Typical Speed Monitoring, Customer Migrations and Change Management are all very highly required attributes.  
  • Experience with NBN wholesale services is highly desirable. 
  • Experience with device certification is highly desirable. 
  • Experience with integration to BSS systems relating to Provisioning, Mediation, Charging and Products is highly desirable. 
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects from initiation to business-as-usual transition including Scope management, Budgeting and Forecasting, Schedule management, Project/Executive reporting and Risks/Issues management. 
  • PMP Certification (or equivalent). 
  • Experience in Telecommunications project environments is essential.  

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, with strong vendor management skills. 
  • Proven experience in liaising with external stakeholders, focussing on results driven outcomes. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneNote). 
  • Expert proficiency in MS Project. 
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with a focus on pragmatic decision-making. 
  • A proactive, adaptable attitude with a commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
