Vodafone Business is on a mission to empower Australian organisations with cutting-edge connectivity, mobility, and digital solutions. As Manager – SMB Acquisition, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the success of our new Telesales Acquisition team, initially leading a pod of five specialists dedicated to winning new small business customers.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on coaching, accountability, and performance – ensuring the team consistently engages SMB decision-makers, builds pipeline, and delivers on ambitious acquisition targets.
You'll make impact by:
- Embed a culture of experimentation and continuous learning, encouraging the team to test new outreach formats, messaging strategies and digital channels.
- Drive consistent achievement of daily activity, weekly progress, and monthly acquisition targets.
- Drive consistent achievement of activity and acquisition targets through structured coaching, performance analytics and adaptive sales strategies.
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to ensure Vodafone Business remains differentiated.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, resilience, and customer-first engagement, aligned to TPG Telecom’s core values.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven track record in sales leadership, ideally in Telesales acquisition and/or Outbound environments.
- 3–5 years’ success driving B2B sales in telecommunications and technology, with hands-on experience in SMB.
- Strong background in new business acquisition (not account management).
- Demonstrated ability to coach, inspire, and drive accountability in a sales team.
- Commercially astute, comfortable with KPIs, and data-driven decision-making.
Ideally, you will also have:
- Strong communication skills, resilience, and passion for helping SMB customers succeed.
- Experience working with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and structured sales reporting.
- Understanding of SMB buyer behaviour, procurement cycles and digital transformation priorities
- Ability to lead virtual teams and coach in hybrid work environments
