Your opportunity:
PLEASE NOTE: This is a part‑time role averaging 15 hours per week, with required availability from Tuesday through Sunday. The position includes three night‑shifts on a fixed rotating roster, with typical hours such as 5:00pm–10:00pm and includes alternating weekends. This is a 6–12 month fixed‑term contract.
As our valued Scam Monitoring Officer, you will play a vital role in identifying any vulnerability or fraud risk to TPG Telecom's network, product or service offerings. You will make recommendations to protect TPG Telecom from potential loss of revenue, negative user experience and brand or reputational damage.
You'll make impact by:
- Manage and action scam inbox reports and escalations, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Monitor current and emerging scam trends affecting Australians, including seasonal and historically recurring scams (e.g., tax-time scams).
- Monitoring of excessive usage alerts for TPG Telecom customers.
- Undertake Fraud prevention tasks as they relate to Scam Prevention and Detection as directed by the Investigations team.
- Being familiar and adhering to legislation, regulations & policies, such as the fair work policies and Scam code.
What you’ll bring:
- Excellent understanding of, or an ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of relevant legislation.
- ·Attention to detail is essential.
- Proficient Microsoft Office Skills, especially Excel.
- Able to clearly communicate findings and insights to stakeholders and team members in a professional manner.
- Excellent active listening skills.
- Self-starter (initiate without being asked or directed).
