This opportunity

Fibre Engineering division is responsible for the expansion of TPG’s robust national fibre network into residential buildings and other internal fibre infrastructure projects.

Fibre Project Lead will be responsible for turnkey program delivery for all the above within specific region, including all construction and deployment activities whilst driving key business outcomes and KPIs. Managing multiple projects nationally at any one time to support the tactical and strategic business initiatives of TPG, with the help of a team of fibre project managers.

Responsibilities

  • Budgets (of any size, for the purchase of external contractor labour, consultants, professional services, equipment and materials)
  • Team management (PLOC) – Including to direct and motivate a team, ensuring their understanding of roles and responsibilities, deliverables and that required business outcomes are met.
  • Manage and build rapport with Internal Stakeholders (including Sales Operations, Mobile & Fixed Networks Division, Field Operations, Legal, Property,)
  • Manage and build rapport with External Stakeholders (including Contractors, Consultants, Vendors, Other Carriers, Utilities, LGA, Property Owners and Strata / Bodies Corporate) to mitigate delays during deployment
  • Protect the brand, reputation and profitability of TPG by maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of its information assets and information systems.
  • Be familiar with policies and procedures, as well as completing any associated training, as communicated, or made available on the intranet and our learning systems
  • You play an important role in implementing business strategy through your operational team.
  • Continuous improvement, monitoring of the delivery performance and services within your remit, contributing to organisational results.
  • You will provide insights & learnings to the wider team, so that all can benefit from continuous learning, and adapt to a dynamic and constantly changing environment.
  • You will be responsible to mitigate escalations and drive customer service excellence
  • You are responsible for the performance, growth, and development of the team and ensuring you role model appropriate behaviours through your leadership.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline (e.g. Engineering, Telecommunications, Project Management.)
  • Extensive experience and knowledge in Telecommunication fibre network deployment. (Civil construction will be highly regarded)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in Project management running complex delivery solutions.
  • Organisation skills and the ability to manage and meet competing deadlines.
  • Confident managing stakeholders at all levels and negotiate or navigate to seek resolution
  • A people’s person with the right attitude to motivate and drive individuals to achieve business goals
  • Strong business acumen to liaise with all areas of the business
  • Understanding of Telecommunications industry regulations. (Telco Act)
  • Ability to interpret relevant legislation and LGA regulations
