Your opportunity:
This role is responsible for successfully delivering assigned programs and sub projects based on business demand. This role will be responsible leading multiple projects, major high risk and complex projects or programmes, and accountable for the planning, structuring and execution of these projects. This position will report to the Head of Delivery, Consumer and will use the program disciplines and processes as per TPG Telecom standards.
You'll make impact by:
- Leading a diverse team of delivery professionals, creating a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Being accountable for delivering the Mobility and Data Migration programs on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Presenting program status updates to the C-suite, explaining technical constraints, and leading steer-co stakeholder discussions using facilitation, consultation, negotiation, and presentation/reporting skills
- Influencing stakeholders at all levels and maintaining collaborative working relationships across and beyond the organisation
- Overseeing programme delivery and implementing corrective actions to resolve issues
- Adhering to the TPG IT delivery framework throughout all project phases and maintaining robust project control processes
- Applying effective change management, risk management, and testing procedures
- Managing vendors and governing their deliverables
- Coordinating with other transformation program managers and stakeholders to develop detailed interlock implementation plans, including deadlines, milestones, processes, and risk mitigation protocols
- Managing, coaching, and mentoring project managers within the program, ensuring alignment with TPG IT processes and methodologies
- Ensuring delivery of new capabilities and/or services at the appropriate level of quality, on time, and within budget, in line with the programme plan
- Actively managing financials, including forecasting and accruals
- Reviewing program reports and ensuring project managers within the program provide status updates against agreed plans, with analysis of deviations and risk assessments
- Developing and implementing "go-to-green" plans for projects flagged red or amber
What you’ll bring:
- Demonstrated Program or Major Transformation program management experience, leading and successfully delivering strategic IT projects/programs of work with budgets in excess of $20m+, ensuring delivery meets budget, time and quality standards.
- Ideally someone with experience leading data migration.
- Experience of managing multiple parties including Senior Project Managers and 3rd party vendors on high profile and technologically innovative enterprise solutions
- Telco Data experience preferred and/or demonstrate exposure to delivery of IT / Data based programs
- Ability to manage large teams across multiple sites and create a sense of teamwork by pulling together the different members of the programme teams who may be unrelated and dissimilar
- Demonstrate a high-level knowledge of project management delivery processes.
- Strong leadership and communication ability with a demonstrated ability to be pragmatic.
- Demonstrate strong vendor management capabilities and ability to work with cross functional teams
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management, financial skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required to work across various levels of technical and managerial teams
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities and deadlines
- A proactive, innovative team focused leader
