Your opportunity

As a Billing Specialist at TPG Telecom, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how we design, configure and deliver our billing and charging solutions across mobile, fixed and wholesale services. Working closely with product, technology, networks and operations, you’ll support major transformation initiatives, pricing changes and platform upgrades—helping to minimise revenue leakage, meet regulatory requirements and deliver a seamless customer experience in a fast‑moving telco environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the business configuration billing specialist for billing, charging and rating requirements for Retail and Wholesale customers across Core Networks, Mediation, Wholesale, Interconnect and Roaming.
  • Engage, communicate, and support Networks, IT, wholesale, interconnect, and roaming initiatives with defining rating requirements and impacts.
  • Perform business configuration, suspense management, and operational support functions as defined by Billing Strategy & Design Manager. 
  • Provide input into and review business, detailed functional specifications and non-functional requirements. 
  • Provide escalation support and subject matter expertise for incidents and PIR outcomes, including service management and broader billing teams.
  • Review, support and approve test strategies (as delegated), scope definition, results and defect triage.

What you’ll bring

  • Degree qualified in IT or Telecom Engineering highly desirable.
  •  5+ years demonstrated experience in Retail, Wholesale, Mediation and Intercarrier Rating and Billing platforms used in the telecommunication sector.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Circuit Switch, Packet Switch, 4G, 5G Standalone and IP Multimedia core network and switching elements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Mediation and Roaming systems.
  • Thorough understanding of charging flows from event creation to mediation, rating, billing, invoicing and intercarrier billing dispute management.
