Your opportunity:

TPG Telecom operates large-scale, business-critical platforms across cloud and hybrid environments. This role is responsible for the daily operations of cloud infrastructure and platform services within AWS.

This is a junior role aimed at developing strong DevOps and platform engineering capabilities. The engineer will work under the guidance of senior engineers and contribute to the deployment, automation and operation of cloud-based solutions, gaining hands-on experience across infrastructure, CI/CD and platform operations.

You'll make impact by:

• Monitoring, alerting and observability across platform environments
• Assist in investigating and resolving platform-related issues
• Support production deployment and configuration of systems and platform components
• Assist in maintaining infrastructure post-deployment (patching, updates, scaling)
• Contribute to improving repeatability and reducing manual operational tasks
• Contribute to initiatives for improving platform performance and efficiency
• Participate in an on-call 24/7 roster to provide support for resolving operational issues and support business escalations
• Contribute to maintaining documentation and operational runbooks
• Support automation of deployment and operational processes
• Actively develop knowledge of cloud platforms, DevOps practices and tools
• Learn and apply best practices in AWS infrastructure, Automation and Platform operations
• Work closely with Senior DevOps engineers, Automation & Orchestration Engineer, Platform and analytics teams

What you’ll bring:

• 1–3 years of experience in IT, software engineering, cloud or related fields
• Basic understanding of AWS services and cloud concepts
• Exposure to at least one programming or scripting language (Python preferred)
• Basic understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD concepts
• Willingness to learn Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g. CloudFormation, CDK)
• Understanding of Linux/Unix fundamentals
• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Ideally, you will also have:

• Exposure to AWS through coursework, certifications or personal projects
• Familiarity with Git and version control systems
• Basic understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline)
• Exposure to containers (Docker) or cloud environments
• AWS certification (e.g. Cloud Practitioner)
