The purpose of the Database Analyst role is to ensure the efficient and effective management of the 1800RESPECT database which includes managing and leveraging data effectively to support the goals, operations, strategy, improve data-driven decision-making, and maintain the integrity and security of databases. This role also supports the delivery of contractual reporting, operational reporting and management reporting.

This role will be responsible for the below tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Ensuring database security and data integrity
  • Optimising database performance and ensuring efficient use of system resources
  • Developing and maintaining scripts and SQL queries to extract data for reporting purposes
  • Working closely with the reporting team to design and implement new database solutions
  • Developing and maintaining data integration between operational software and database
  • Monitoring database activity and proactively identifying and resolving issues
  • Developing and maintaining database documentation, including data dictionaries, standards, procedures, and guidelines

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in database administration
  • Strong SQL skills and SQL Server experience
  • Experience with database backup and recovery procedures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Building tables and views for use in Power BI, as well as creating reports in Power BI (desirable)
  • JSON and Python for data integration (desirable)
