What’s the opportunity?          

1800RESPECT is Australia's national sexual assault, domestic and family violence counselling service. As a key part of Telstra Health’s delivery team, this role supports the reporting objectives underpinning the critical safeguarding functions of 1800RESPECT.

The role on offer is 'Reporting and Data Analyst' within the 1800RESPECT reporting team. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind, with a deep understanding of Power BI, DAX and enterprise reporting concepts.

About the role:

The Reporting and Data Analyst plays an important role within the 1800RESPECT reporting team, responsible for the construction, validation and maintenance of performance dashboards and reports. The role works within the wider 1800RESPECT team to ensure that data is robust, validated and secure, therefore enabling data-based decisions to drive service improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • The design, maintenance, and enhancement Power BI reports and dashboards to meet regulatory, operational, and stakeholder requirements for 1800RESPECT.
  • Ensure reports are intuitive and user-friendly
  • Automating processes and managing reporting assets using Power Automate/Flow, SharePoint and other tools
  • Documenting requirements to support changes or enhancements
  • Managing timelines and deadlines
  • Maintaining clear documentation
  • Responsibility for data validation, quality controls, and best practice governance in all reporting activities.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving of data issues

About you:

Skills / Experience

  • Power BI or enterprise reporting certification/s (desirable)
  • 2+ years in reporting, data analytics or business intelligence role, ideally supporting government or non-profit services (e.g., domestic and family violence services, health, or social support)
  • Experience working with sensitive, regulated, or compliance-driven data, ideally within healthcare, community services, or FDSV services.
  • Proven ability to work on projects that deliver outcomes.
  • Understanding of data warehousing and data modelling concepts
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence and JIRA)
  • Ability to implement strong data governance practices
  • SQL (desirable but not essential)
  • Python (desirable but not essential)

  • Motivated to stay updated with Power BI features and data warehousing concepts

Regulatory:

  • Verification of the right to work in Australia.
  • Completion of a Police Check (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
