What’s the opportunity?

The Senior Reporting and Insights Analyst is a key member of the enterprise reporting team, responsible for constructing and validating enterprise performance dashboards and reports. This role involves providing insights and ensuring the accuracy and relevance of data used in enterprise reporting. As part of the team, the role will also act as the Reporting Specialist for Corporate Services including Dynamics 365, ADP, and HRIS. The role will design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting structures, deliver on process improvement and provide meaningful insights to the results Telstra Health.

About the role:

  • Create intuitive and user-friendly dashboards and extend existing dashboards to clearly visualise key metrics.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise data models, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data throughout the analysis process. 
  • Gather, interpret, and analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies and drive decision-making processes.
  • Implement data validation and cleansing techniques to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to Power BI reports, dashboards, and data connectivity and maintain the Power BI infrastructure.
  • Work with report stakeholders to understand their business and data to create enterprise reports and visualizations based on analytical needs.
  • Receive feedback from stakeholders on existing reporting assets and make changes as needed. 
  • Support other functions (sales, customer, etc.) data owners and custodians in managing their data to meet enterprise requirements
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of corporate service data assets (finance and workforce).
  • Provide timely and effective responses to user inquiries and problem reports.
  • Document analysis methodologies, data sources, and report specifications to maintain knowledge repositories and support collaboration within the team.
  • Train end-users on how to use the dashboards and reports effectively.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, updates, and best practices

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, or PowerBI Specialist are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and Excel.
  • 5+ years on data warehousing projects and any self-service tool like PowerBI, JavaScript, CSS and SQL.
  • Experience with developing reports from non-SQL data sources (e.g. API, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of business processes, operations, and key performance indicators. Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of data analysis and visualisation principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional analytical skills that enable you to perform complex analysis and design.
  • Strong communication skills and working well in a team.
