What's the Opportunity?
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and go-to-market execution of our Health Information Exchange (HIE) platform and managed HIE services. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and interoperability — shaping how patient information flows securely and intelligently across Australia’s healthcare system.
You’ll be the driving force behind a product that connects GPs, specialists, hospitals, labs, and allied health providers — ensuring the right information is available at the right time, to the right people.
Why This Role Matters
Our HIE platform is designed to unify Australia’s healthcare ecosystem — enabling secure, standards-based data exchange across providers, systems, and geographies. You’ll be at the forefront of transforming how healthcare is delivered and experienced.
About the role:
Product Strategy & Market Leadership
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle — from discovery and design to launch and scale.
- Define and evolve the product vision, roadmap, and value proposition based on market intelligence, customer needs, and strategic priorities.
- Engage directly with customers, government stakeholders, and partners to validate direction and shape product-market fit.
- Lead go-to-market planning, including positioning, messaging, sales enablement, and marketing collateral.
- Contribute to commercial strategy — including pricing input, tender support, and bid/no-bid decisions.
Development & Delivery Leadership
- Guide cross-functional squads (including BAs, POs, engineers, and architects) through planning, prioritisation, and execution.
- Translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, epics, and user stories — ensuring clarity and alignment across teams.
- Lead sprint planning and backlog refinement, and support delivery teams with context, decision-making, and unblockers.
- Collaborate with UX/UI, QA, and technical leads to ensure high-quality, user-centred delivery.
- Monitor product performance, user feedback, and support data to drive continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work across time zones and distributed teams — including technology, legal, finance, marketing, sales, and executive stakeholders.
- Act as the central point of accountability for your product — ensuring transparency, alignment, and momentum across the organisation.
About you:
- Proven experience as a Senior Product Manager or equivalent, ideally in enterprise software or digital health.
- Strong understanding of APIs, system architecture, and interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7) — or the ability to ramp up quickly.
- Demonstrated success in launching and scaling complex products in regulated or government-facing environments.
- Experience working with distributed teams across time zones and functions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — from engineers to executives to external partners.
- A strategic, self-directed mindset — you lead with vision, make informed decisions, and take ownership.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, fast-moving environments, and balancing short-term delivery with long-term impact.
