What will you be doing? 

Guided by senior project managers you will manage the delivery of low risk/complexity projects to plan, within the Regional Annual Integrated Works Program.  The Program includes capital works, maintenance and facilities management services, tactical renewal and minor works projects. The position facilitates collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams in Sydney Water and the Regional Delivery Consortium to ensure consistency, accuracy and efficiency in project delivery, cost and risk management across all assigned projects within and across asset classes.

 You will:

  • Manage, under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager, low risk projects or modular components of projects
  • Support Project Managers to assist in the achievement of project objectives
  • Assist in the development of project management plans
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules
  • Provide support in the preparation of project risk registers 

Who are we looking for? 

We are looking for people with a passion for project management and an ability to engage with a variety of project stakeholders. Ideally you will have previously worked on water infrastructure projects.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field, or experience deemed equivalent
  • Project management experience is beneficial
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience working within multi-disciplinary integrated teams and/or alliances
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts is beneficial but not essential

Department Overview:

Sydney Water’s Program Delivery team is responsible for building, upgrading and maintaining Sydney Water’s infrastructure needs. The team works closely with Sydney Water’s Regional Delivery Consortia and other external suppliers to provide the delivery of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.
