About the role
This role is pivotal in driving a major enterprise transformation, implementing a new online field management system to optimise crew dispatch, enhance operational efficiency, and improve service delivery for our customers. In this role, you will support the Senior Change Lead with readiness and engagement activities for this role centre on assessing impacts, planning and executing change management strategies, preparing stakeholders for change, and ensuring ongoing engagement and communication. The goal is to enable a successful launch of the new system by supporting adoption and minimising resistance across the organisation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducting detailed assessments to understand how the program will affect different stakeholders and business areas.
- Execute on comprehensive change management plans aimed at maximising employee adoption and minimising resistance to the new online field management system.
- Undertake change readiness and adoption assessments to ensure the organisation is prepared for the transition and that employees are equipped to embrace the new system.
- Provide input to the Change plan and execute a fit-for-purpose change plan that engages stakeholders, address their needs, and facilitate a smooth transition.
- Apply Sydney Water’s Change Management Framework to create and implement actionable change management deliverables including stakeholder assessments, change impact assessments, sponsor roadmaps, risk assessments, readiness assessments, resistance management plans etc.
Who are we looking for?
- Tertiary qualification in Change Management or Business-related discipline
- A background in the utilities sector is highly desired
Highly experienced in collecting, analysing, and interpreting data examples include:
- Identifying and prioritising impacted stakeholders
- Change and data analysis - stakeholder assessments (understanding what their needs are and how to engage them), change impact analysis
- Ability to undertake change readiness and adoption assessments.
- Change risk, assumption, issues and dependency management
- Design, Planning and delivery of fit for purpose change plans.
Specific Technical Skills:
- Advanced capabilities with Excel, PowerPoint and other change related software
- Basic- Intermediate Project Management skills
Specific soft Skills:
- Good time management and prioritisation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Sound business acumen
- Strong Facilitation skills
- Excellent communication - verbal, written and listening skills.
- Good presentation skills
- Understanding the fundamentals of change resistance and how to manage it
- Confidence escalating issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to influence and manage 'difficult stakeholders’.
- Balance of IQ and EQ - confident but humble, respectful, heightened levels of empathy for those affected by change.
- Awareness of self and how they affect those around them.
- Collaborative, engaging and communicative.
- Ability to work autonomously (as required)
