About The Role
Lead the operation of the water supply system to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient water production and supply outcomes. This role is responsible for managing operational, safety, and environmental risks, and driving continuous improvement across water assets and systems - supporting world‑class water services for our customers and community.
- Operational & Technical Leadership - Provide technical and operational leadership across water supply systems, water hubs, and major assets to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant water supply outcomes. Lead the resolution of complex technical issues, incident response, post‑incident improvements, and risk‑based decision‑making focused on customer outcomes.
- System & Asset Optimisation - Manage and optimise bulk water operations in line with regulatory requirements and budgets to achieve cost‑effective and resilient supply. Lead outage planning, major works and shutdown programs, cost optimisation modelling, and long‑term operational input into water supply strategy.
- Stakeholder Management - Act as the technical interface between operations, delivery partners, and external agencies to support water supply. Manage performance of the integrated water supply system, water quality, budgets, and operations.
About You:
In addition to a degree (or equivalent) qualification in an Engineering, Science or a related discipline, as well as a valid drivers licence. You will also have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Water operations and Water quality
- Demonstrated experience in water quality management
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Well-developed contract and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience of after-hours & incident response
