About your role:
Lead the development of commercial strategy and the implementation of the commercial workstream throughout the life of the delivery of the projects and partnerships development. To lead and support complex projects to achieve commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Lead and manage the portfolio of commercial projects and partnerships in line with the Investment Decision Framework of Sydney Water to maximise synergies across commercial projects to achieve strategic and commercial outcomes.
- Manage the development of commercial strategy, partnership evaluation, value engineering, financial modelling, negotiation strategy, identification and structuring of risk return allocations in delivery of large / complex projects and partnerships, commercialisation of new product lines to maximise value and minimise risk for Sydney Water.
- Provide oversight and direct commercial managers and commercial leads in the development and delivery of commercial projects and partnerships.
- Identify and facilitate improvement opportunities to deliver better commercial outcomes for Sydney Water.
- Monitor relevant industry trends, innovation, technology and the success of various commercial models and partnerships in the industry that could be applied in Sydney Water.
- Support Head of Commercial and Corporate Development in the development and implementation of frameworks to drive new business, business acumen and value for money.
About you
- Degree qualification or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in leading commercial streams of high value complex projects / program of works.
- Demonstrated ability to develop pragmatic and robust commercial strategy and turn the strategic into business outcomes.
- Prepare and model complex financial analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills coupled with exemplary leadership and people management experience.
- Strong commercial skills.
- Drive capability development within Commercial and Corporate Development team.
- Knowledge and understanding of the utility sector financial and commercial drivers and knowledge of operating within a regulatory environment.
