About the role
The Transition Manager role will lead the coordination and planning for the new SCADA Services procurement panel. Ensure timely onboarding of panel members and successful transition to the new contract. Establish governance frameworks, provide training, and manage end-to-end service and performance. Develop a comprehensive transition plan to maintain critical water services. Oversee technical, commercial, and management processes to achieve business outputs and deliverables. Manage project scope, time, quality, cost, resources, risks, benefits, procurement, change, stakeholders, communications, and integration. Work with a dedicated team and multiple stakeholders.

Training and Compliance: Organize and support training for new providers, ensuring alignment with Sydney Water systems and compliance protocols.
Collaboration and Integration: Facilitate effective collaboration and integration between the four SCADA providers and the internal OT/Control Systems teams.
Allocate Tasks Effectively: Oversee task allocations within the Configuration Management team.
Architect Change: Design and implement changes to configuration management tools and processes to meet evolving business needs.
Drive Technical Excellence in this role
Process Improvement: Manage the design and implementation of new process improvement initiatives across the project lifecycle, including scoping requirements, developing approaches, managing process mapping and redesign, documenting outcomes, and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
Project Management: Define and manage project scope, time, quality, cost, resourcing, procurement, change, stakeholders, communications, risks, issues, and integration.
Leadership: Lead projects to ensure agreed deliverables are achieved.
Governance Framework: Define and manage project governance frameworks and structures, including lifecycle stages and decisions.
About the candidate
Minimum degree qualification in Business or Professional discipline.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate forums and workshops with more senior management membership, participation to achieve required outcomes
5-10 years experience as a project or contract manager, managing complex projects or contract end to end in a matrixed corporate environment.
Experience applying robust project management skills and frameworks, delivered in tight timeframes
Ability to lead a team of project, change and business analysts to drive project deliverables
Positively influence and work collaboratively with all levels of an organisation to achieve improved business outcomes.
Experience in managing budget effectively and exposure to project management.
Strong Relationship Management skills
