The Category Management team is structured into three distinct procurement portfolios. The Customer and Corporate Services (CCS) portfolio partners with the People & Governance, Customer & Stakeholder Engagement, Customer Experience, and Finance, and Commercial business units. The Water and Environment Services (WES) business unit is supported through its own dedicated procurement portfolio, reflecting the specialised nature of its operational and regulatory needs which includes Water Treatment Plants, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Networks and Shared Purchasing with our maintenance partners. Similarly, the Digital business unit has a dedicated procurement portfolio to align with its specialised technology, software, hardware, cloud services and critical digital infrastructure requirements. Together, these three portfolios form the full Category Management team and ensure tailored procurement support across the organisation.
We are seeking three Procurement Coordinators to support our Category Management teams in Digital, WES (Water and Environment Services), and CCS (Customer and Corporate Services), each performing the same core responsibilities while partnering closely with their respective branch.

As a Contract and Procurement Coordinator, you play a key role in supporting the Digital, WES and CCS Teams by managing procurement activities, contract administration, project coordination, and routine financial processes. You work closely with procurement managers, team leaders, and the business unit manager to identify the most effective and compliant methods for acquiring technical goods and services.
In this role, you will:
- Support the category management team in setting up sourcing projects, contract workspaces, purchase Requisitions and purchase order creation and analytical support.
- Engage stakeholders across multiple teams including to determine the appropriate processes and accountabilities between teams.
- Capture, validate, and manage procurement, sourcing, and contract data in Ariba, SAP, or other systems to support tracking of benefits, project status, and overall procurement pipeline register.
- Develop and maintain contract schedules including scoping, tendering, renewal, and expiry and closure.
- Perform contract administration and procure‑to‑pay tasks, including establishing contract records, maintaining schedules, managing renewals, and supporting contract closure activities
- Assist with drafting, finalise, and seek approval on Contract Management Plans including meeting cadence and detail. Resolve low risk and value contractor issues seeking assistance as required.
- Support supplier performance and relationship management by collecting, validating, and analysing supplier performance data, and preparing reports to inform effective supplier engagement.
- Work with stakeholders to assist with dealing with contractual issues and variations as they are raised, and consult with the business, Legal, insurance and compliance to prepare the necessary documentation.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in procurement, contract enablement, purchasing, project accounting, or project management.
- 1+ years’ experience working in contract administration in a large complex organisation, preferably in a similar organisation or industry sector.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convene complex commercial matters through reports and presentations.
- Strong teamwork capability with appreciation of intricacies of matrix organisations.
- Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, and associated procurement systems, or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting business to procure and purchase materials and services for complex projects.
