- Multiple full time permanent positions
Sydney Water is seeking multiple Senior Advisors to deliver community and stakeholder engagement services for Sydney Water’s major projects, and regional programs across Sydney’s North, South and West regions.
This role is heavily focused on the effective development and delivery of community and stakeholder engagement plans for projects in the Infrastructure Delivery business unit.
You will ensure the successful development and delivery of projects and programs in the eyes of our communities and stakeholders by working with project teams, providing best-practice engagement, strategic communications, issues management and oversight of our community engagement contractors and partners.
What you will be doing
- Develop and deliver communication and engagement strategies, with supporting collateral, to promote projects, protect reputation, manage issues and deliver successful programs.
- Build and maintain effective and influential relationships across all stakeholder segments including community, private sector, government agencies, internal and customer.
- Respond to escalated complaints, enquiries and feedback from a variety of channels, and oversee complaint response by partners.
- Coordinate and organise community engagement events, including coordinating logistics across various locations, preparation of run sheets and presentations.
About you
- Degree qualifications in communications, marketing, public relations, community engagement is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in community engagement, stakeholder engagement or corporate affairs, in a complex environment.
- A strong understanding of the complexity of infrastructure projects in the planning and delivery stages, and associated community and stakeholder plans required for projects of a larger size.
- Sound planning, influencing, negotiation, facilitation and issues and crisis management skills.
- Experience working on the planning and delivery of infrastructure projects is desired.
