Project Manager – Divestment
The purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise, advice and project management for the delivery of property divestment projects and associated initiatives, that meet compliance and regulatory requirements and deliver the maximum return to Sydney Water.
What you will be doing:
- Manage the process of divestment of surplus property assets across low, medium and high complexity property divestment projects.
- Manage pre-divestment activities such as the registration of subdivisions and easements, development applications, planning proposals, utility servicing connections, and minor civil works.
- Manage the divestment of Sydney Water property in a compulsory acquisition, including interfaces with stakeholders such as government acquiring authorities or local councils
- Engage, manage and supervise the appointment of consultants (e.g. valuers, surveyors, town planners and Legal) on property related transactions.
About you:
- Relevant degree qualification (e.g. Property, Urban Planning, Business Management, Project Management or Engineering) or experience deemed equivalent.
- 5+ years’ experience working in divestments, property development, property transactions, and/or planning experience with Local Councils, NSW planning authorities and approval/planning gateways.
- Experience in project managing all aspects of property divestment activities including land rezoning proposals, subdivisions, easements, community and stakeholder consultation.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislative and compliance requirements with regard to property transactions.
- Demonstrates proficiency in identifying and managing avoidable property related risks.
