About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable and strategic Procurement Manager to lead a team of Procurement Specialists in delivering best-in-class procurement services within the Customer and Corporate Services (CCS) portfolio. This role is critical in ensuring the organisation secures the goods, services, and facilities it needs—on time, at the right quality, and at the best total cost of ownership.
As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing end to end procurement services across the Customer Experience and Finance, Commercial and Digital (excluding Digital) business groups. Procurement activities will be led by your team, and you will work closely with them and with key stakeholders to shape procurement strategies and develop category plans that support broader business priorities.
In this role, you will provide expert commercial advice, drive strategic procurement initiatives, and ensure the efficient and timely delivery of procurement services aligned with business needs. You will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, build effective stakeholder relationships, and coach and uplift your team to deliver best in class outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support a team of 2 x Senior Procurement Specialists and 1 x Procurement Specialist to deliver best in class procurement services with focus on the overall Procurement Plan and associated activities to increase maturity.
- Partner with stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives and improve commercial outcomes.
- Provide subject matter expertise in procurement, sourcing, and contract management processes.
- Apply category management principles to identify opportunities, manage risk, and drive value.
- Oversee sourcing activities from strategy development to contract award, ensuring governance and probity.
- Manage supply panel, supplier relationships, and contract performance to ensure value realisation and service excellence.
- Track and report on procurement benefits, value creation, and key performance indicators.
About You
- 8+ years proven experience in procurement leadership roles, ideally within complex or regulated environments.
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Expertise in category management, sourcing, and contract management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement.
- Relevant qualifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g. CIPS) are desirable.
- Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies and advising at executive level.
- Skilled in reporting procurement outcomes to executive leadership and governance bodies
