Supplier Relationship Management Specialist

You will provide effective delivery of Sydney Water’s Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Program through internal engagement and coordinated management of assigned strategic and critical suppliers. 

You will coordinate and facilitate the relationship between Sydney Water and its most critical and strategic suppliers, connecting internal and external stakeholders to resolve critical issues, improve delivery outcomes, and identify opportunities for mutual value creation and efficiency improvements.

About the role:

• Drive improvement and expand Sydney Water’s Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program.
• Build and maintain stakeholder relationships and implement strategies that will enable the delivery of Sydney Water’s organisational objectives through SRM.
• Work closely with internal and external senior stakeholders (c-suite) to ensure relationship management strategies for tier 1 suppliers are aligned and activity is coordinated at an enterprise level.
• Perform Supplier Management onboarding activities, such as Stakeholder Mapping, Contract Review & Alignment, Governance & Toolkit Development, Value Proposition Development, Stakeholder Engagement, SRM Endorsement and SRM launch.
•  Proactively collaborate with Suppliers, Senior Executives, and the end user to look at new and innovative ways to reduce cost and drive value.

About you:

• Demonstrated experience in managing SRM programs in a large complex organisation, preferably in a similar organisation or industry sector.
• Demonstrated experience in leading developing supplier’s capabilities and building strategic relationships.
• Understanding and experience managing contracts and commercial terms.
• Ability to influence stakeholders on SRM at a team, leads, and senior level, including but not limited to, Heads of Business and General Managers.
• Demonstrable ability to create, influence and manage strong relationships at senior or c-suite level with internal and external stakeholders.
