About the role

The Procurement Reporting Analyst enables data‑led decision making across the procurement lifecycle through the delivery of high‑quality analytics, reporting and insights. The role supports procurement leaders, category managers and business partners with trusted data to inform commercial decisions, performance management and continuous improvement.

You will design, develop and maintain enterprise‑grade dashboards, reports and analytics products, while helping to improve data quality, establish reporting standards, and enable self‑service analytics. The role works across multiple data sources, including SAP and other enterprise systems, and partners closely with procurement, finance and digital teams.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Analytics, reporting and insights

  • Design, develop and maintain end‑to‑end procurement dashboards and reports, covering areas such as spend, contracts, suppliers, compliance, performance, benefits and risk.
  • Translate complex procurement data into clear, actionable insights for executives, managers and operational teams.
  • Move beyond descriptive reporting to deliver diagnostic and insight‑driven analysis that supports commercial decision‑making.

Data management and governance

  • Examine and evaluate existing reports and datasets to improve accuracy, relevance, usability and consistency.
  • Establish and maintain reporting standards, definitions, metrics and documentation to ensure data is trusted and repeatable.
  • Work with source system owners to understand system changes and assess impacts on data models, reports and dashboards.

Self‑service and capability uplift

  • Enable higher levels of self‑service reporting and analytics through well‑designed Power BI datasets, semantic models and reusable reporting assets.
  • Develop guidance, training material and instructions to support users in interpreting and using procurement data effectively.
  • Support uplift of analytics maturity across the Procurement function.

Stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement

  • Partner closely with procurement teams and business stakeholders to understand information needs and evolving priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, reduce manual effort and improve automation.
  • Provide analytics input into continuous improvement initiatives, assurance activities and governance processes.

Technical delivery

  • Use business intelligence and analytics tools (such as Power BI, Excel and enterprise data platforms) to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Support data modelling, transformation and integration activities in collaboration with digital and data teams.
  • Ensure reports meet performance, security and information management requirements.

About you

You are an analytics professional who combines strong technical capability with commercial and stakeholder awareness. You’re comfortable working with complex data and equally comfortable explaining it to non‑technical audiences.

Essential experience and capabilities

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Data & Analytics, IT, Business, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in analytics, reporting or business intelligence roles.
  • Advanced experience developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
  • Strong data analysis and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate business questions into analytics solutions.
  • Experience working with enterprise systems and large, complex datasets, including advanced analysis using Excel and business intelligence tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Highly regarded

  • Experience in procurement, finance, supply chain or asset‑intensive environments.
  • Experience working within data governance frameworks or enterprise reporting standards.
  • Exposure to modern data platforms, semantic models or analytics enablement initiatives.

  • You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of submitting your application to be considered for this role.
