About The Role: 

Focusing on Water and Wastewater Network Assets, this role will help us to meet cost, risk and performance targets over the asset lifecycle: incorporating asset creation, maintenance and renewals for all assets.  With a focus on condition assessment of linear assets, the role works in partnership with our strategic planning and investment teams, delivery partners and operations teams and very closely with the maintenance program and performance monitoring teams to ensure maintenance and renewal planning is optimised. In addition, you will: 

  • Lead or manage investigation of complex asset failures using RCA Root Cause Analysis and FTA Fault Tree Analysis methodologies. Problem solving for high cost/ frequent failure assets. 
  • Review and develop asset maintenance and renewal strategies. Ensure asset maintenance strategies and asset management plans are aligned and effective with the corporate strategies & standards. 
  • Oversight of condition assessment of all assets within their scope, including monitoring for risks and issues. Including the review of asset condition and review of specialist asset condition assessments. 

About You: 

You will hold a tertiary qualification in engineering, science or a related discipline.  In addition to proven experience in maintenance and renewals of water, and / or wastewater treatment assets, you will also have: 

  • A comprehensive understanding of asset management or similar developed through industry experience with experience in related activities. 
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, with the ability to synthesise and consolidate a large amount of information for clarity of objectives and outcomes.
