About the Role
Ruah is seeking an experienced, values‑driven leader to step into the role of Team Lead – Karlup Service, with specific responsibility for leading our Koorta Guide Team (case managers). This is a unique opportunity to help shape an innovative service supporting women and children on their recovery journey from family and domestic violence.
The Karlup Service is built on a culturally informed, trauma‑responsive model of care. As Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting staff, strengthening service delivery and ensuring every woman and child receives seamless, dignified and empowering support.
As Team Lead, you will:
- Lead, mentor and support the Koorta Guide Team to deliver high‑quality case management.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, operations and continual improvements of operational processes for the Karlup Service.
- Ensure staff have the resources, supervision and support they need to work safely and effectively.
- Facilitate case reviews, coordination meetings, and reflective supervision.
- Build strong relationships with referral partners and community agencies.
- Ensure compliance with Ruah's policies, accreditation standards and reporting requirements.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and values‑driven workplace where diversity is celebrated.
- Champion a culturally safe, trauma‑informed and client‑centred approach across all service areas.
- Advocate for clients and contribute to strategic decision‑making at all levels.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys strengthening teams and is passionate about supporting women and children to recover, rebuild and thrive.
This is a full-time (76 hours per fortnight), fixed-term position for 12months, with the possibility of extension.
What we’re looking for
The successful applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:
- Strong knowledge of family and domestic violence, including current and emerging issues.
- Experience in clinical case management.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including managing diverse teams.
- Ability to build strong relationships with staff, stakeholders, and community partners.
The following criteria are considered desirable:
- Qualifications in Social Work, Counselling, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with diverse communities, including Aboriginal people, LGBTQIA+ communities, people with disability, and culturally and linguistically diverse groups.

- A salary aligned with Level 5 of the Ruah Enterprise Agreement (and the SCHADS Award), starting at $101,099.
