The successful applicant for this role will be a part of +61, but an employee of TBWA Sydney. 

A Group Business Director IS passionate about customer marketing and has a love of creativity and data in equal balance. 

The role will be working in a tight, dedicated team responsible for the large-scale customer marketing activity of one of Australia’s most prominent brands. 

World class creativity is the ambition for all the brands’ communications, and customer marketing is no exception. This team is the Centre of Excellence for Customer Marketing across the client business. Activity spans scaled program delivery for acquisition, retention and loyalty. 

 

THE TASK AT HAND  

The Group Account Director is responsible for: 

  • Partnering with the client to lead the business and interactions across all departments to drive that business forward 
  • Driving the business strategy and providing a strategic guidance in response to the client brief, challenging and shaping brave effective work to achieve ultimate brand performance and business results (Acting as the lead brand strategic and creative guardian) 
  • Being able to identify business problems and apply growth strategies to address them (which in turn drives organic growth) through deep understanding of the clients' business 
  • Leading Senior client relationships, nurturing the relationship and delivering high standards of client satisfaction through timely conflict resolution measured through quarterly client surveys 
  • Selling in big ideas and ensuring that idea remains through to production 
  • Driving a high-performance team culture through consistently delivering to high standards and agile team feedback 
  • Being the key point of contact for Senior Clients and key escalation point 
  • Project pricing, profitability and management of large scopes of work and budgets. Providing accurate monthly project and production forecasts and scope reconciliations

  • Ability to persuade, inspire and build trust amongst agency people and clients 
  • Ability to unlock organic growth in the client’s business based on strong relationships, understanding of the business & keen eye for spotting opportunities 
  • Demonstrates Commercial and organisational smarts beyond comms 
  • Has a comprehensive understanding in executing against omni channel experience 

 

Knowledge 

  • Enduring passion for ideas; be it business, marketing or communications focused 
  • Understands how data can play a role in enhancing creativity 
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, financial rigor and sophisticated business practices 
  • Deep understanding of client’s business and competitors 
  • Integrated, or a digital native with a clear understanding of marcomms across all brands
