About Us

pitt&sherry is an Australian employee‑owned consultancy. Since 1963, we have been delivering engineering and environmental consulting, advisory and project management services. We thrive on tackling challenging projects that enable us to live up to our vision: inspired thinking to embrace the challenges of a changing world.

We are proud to be Australia's most agile thinkers: we are engineers, scientists, planners, technicians, project managers and consultants and coupled with our multi-disciplinary offering, we deliver solutions that make a true difference to people and place. With seven offices throughout Australia, we are committed to remaining big enough to deliver and small enough to care.

The Opportunity:

As a Project Manager at pitt&sherry, you'll be at the centre of project delivery, connecting clients, communities, and our multidisciplinary team of engineers, planners, environmental specialists, and designers. Your day might start with a client meeting to understand project objectives and challenges, followed by workshops with our technical teams to develop practical and innovative solutions to complex concept, design, and planning issues.

You'll coordinate project teams, manage budgets and schedules, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and help navigate project risks and opportunities. From guiding the early stages of a development concept through to detailed design and delivery, you'll work closely with specialists across multiple disciplines to solve problems, balance competing priorities, and achieve successful outcomes for our clients.

Whether you're preparing proposals, reviewing technical deliverables, leading project meetings, or collaborating with engineers and planners to unlock project constraints, you'll play a key role in shaping projects that make a lasting impact on the communities where we live and work.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their project management career who’s ready to step up, take on more ownership and gain exposure across the full development lifecycle.

What you will do:

  • Support the end-to-end delivery of development and infrastructure projects, from feasibility through to construction and completion
  • Prepare and manage core project documentation, including scopes, schedules, budgets, risk registers and procurement plans
  • Assist in coordinating multidisciplinary inputs across engineering, planning, environmental and surveying teams
  • Contribute to tender submissions and procurement activities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, councils, consultants and contractors
  • Help keep projects on track by coordinating stakeholders and supporting timely delivery
  • Show initiative and take ownership of your work, while learning from experienced project leaders

What you bring:

  • Around 2+ years’ experience in project management within engineering, construction or property development
  • An understanding of how projects are delivered within the property or built environment sector
  • Strong communication skills—you’re confident writing reports and engaging with a range of stakeholders
  • Solid organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach—you show initiative and enjoy taking ownership
  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic environment

Why join us:

  • Passionate Team: We're a friendly bunch who are passionate about our work. This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to join us as we launch into our 2030 strategy.
  • Flexible Working Practices: At pitt&sherry, we champion flexible working practices. Our team enjoys the best of both worlds, splitting their time between home and the office. We believe in genuine work/life balance and strive to create an environment where our employees can thrive both professionally and personally.
  • Paid Parental Leave: Enjoy paid parental leave with no waiting period and a Return to Work Bonus for when you’re ready to come back.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Complimentary access to qualified psychologists and coaches to support your health and wellbeing.
  • Professional Development: We encourage ongoing learning and development. We are active members of Engineers Australia and Consult Australia.
  • Additional Leave: Purchased additional leave allowance as well as cultural and ceremonial leave with access to floating public holidays.
  • Competitive Remuneration: A market-competitive remuneration package.
  • Social Connections: Regular social functions to connect with your team.
  • Recognition and Growth: Work for an agile company where your contributions are recognized, and you can truly make a difference.
