After more than a decade working in traditional recruitment agencies, I launched Pinstripe Recruitment to offer an alternative — because I knew recruitment could be done differently, and better.

I was tired of meaningless KPIs, inflexible work environments, inexperienced and transactional recruiters, and high staff turnover. Clients and candidates were demanding a smarter, more human approach — so I set out to create it.

Through steady, organic growth, I’m now looking for another talented Recruitment Consultant to join my team.

You’ll work under the Pinstripe Recruitment banner, using best-in-class cloud-based recruitment software, established processes, and a proven approach to deliver bespoke services to your clients — while enjoying true work-life balance.

You must have:

  • Advanced data management skills — and the ability to appreciate the value of investing time in building, managing, and nurturing deep talent pools.
  • A natural ability to build client relationships and consult — you’ll be driven to connect with clients, understand their business, and offer genuine advice and solutions.
  • The confidence and commercial acumen to negotiate retained work — this is not a transactional, volume-based model. You’ll be helping clients understand the long-term value of investing in quality recruitment partnerships.

About the work:

Pinstripe Recruitment specialises in permanent, full-time recruitment for white-collar roles across Australia. Our clients are typically in:

  • Accounting & Finance
  • Legal
  • Insurance
  • Real Estate
  • Professional Services
  • Manufacturing, Executive and/or technical roles

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Be highly self-motivated, proactive, and tenacious
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of agency recruitment experience
  • Be comfortable working autonomously, building your own client relationships and accounts
  • Be experienced in:
  • Business development
  • Rate and retained fee negotiations
  • Account management
  • Taking job briefs
  • Writing compelling job advertisements
  • Proactive sourcing and database management
  • Screening and interviewing candidates
  • Building deep talent pipelines
  • Managing offers, counter-offers, and post-placement service
  • Have existing industry networks you can leverage (preferred, but not essential)
