PHE is looking for a confident, commercially minded Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of PHE Power & Infrastructure, an established business delivering complex projects across the energy, power generation, and industrial sectors.
About the Role
As Operations Manager, you’ll oversee all project operations, team performance, and client outcomes across Australia. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and Supervisors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and highly visible across the business.
You’ll also play a critical role in developing and supporting your leadership team, helping them stay focused on the big picture, drive accountability, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational performance across all active P&I projects
- Support and develop PMs and Supervisors to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Maintain strong commercial oversight including cost controls and reporting
- Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and licensing requirements
- Identify risks early, resolve issues quickly, and escalate when needed
- Drive a consistent, high-performance culture across multiple project sites
- Manage client relationships and lead resolution of operational challenges
- Provide clear, timely updates to the General Manager and executive team
What You’ll Bring
- 3 - 5+ years in a senior operational or leadership role
- Experience in electrical contracting, oil & gas, and/or power generation
- Electrical Licence and White Card (essential)
- C-Class manual driver’s licence
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of compliance
- Experience leading remote or site-based teams
