About the Role
Pacific National is seeking an experienced and hands-on Site Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of our Spotswood maintenance site.
In this role, you will be accountable for ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory and company standards. You’ll provide on-site leadership across facilities, infrastructure and contractor management, while supporting maintenance and operational teams to ensure the site remains fully functional and ready to support the business.
This is a key role that plays a critical part in maintaining site performance, safety outcomes and operational readiness.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide strong, visible leadership to ensure a safe and compliant site environment.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring facilities and infrastructure support operational needs.
- Manage contractors, including onboarding, performance, compliance and service delivery.
- Coordinate maintenance and upkeep of site assets including buildings, equipment and utilities.
- Manage site documentation, permits, audits and compliance records.
- Act as the key point of contact for all site-related matters and stakeholder coordination.
- Coordinate site access, resources, logistics and services for operational teams.
- Lead or support emergency response activities and ensure site readiness.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve site safety, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Manage site budgets and ensure cost control across contractor and operational spend.
What you’ll bring
- Experience in site management, facilities management or operational leadership within rail, logistics, mining or heavy industry.
- Proven experience managing contractors and site services in a high-risk environment.
- Strong understanding of safety, compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to lead, influence and make decisions in a fast-paced operational setting.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience managing competing priorities across site operations.
- Budget management and cost control capability.
- Trade, technical or facilities management qualifications and rail experience are highly regarded.
