Maintainer – Rail Maintenance (Rollingstock) – Perth Freight Terminal

An opportunity has presented itself for a safety-focused Maintainer to join our team based at our Perth Freight Terminal in Kewdale.
What You’ll Do
- Perform wagon preventative maintenance, repairs and inspections
- Respond to breakdowns and emergency recoveries on the rail network
- Carry out heating, cutting and welding activities
- Operate mobile plant, lifting equipment and vehicles
- Fabricate and assemble components for repair or modification
- Liaise with planners, contractors and operators to coordinate wagon movements
- Support locomotive provisioning activities
What You’ll Bring
- Heavy industry trade background (highly regarded but not essential)
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence (essential)
- Forklift/MR Licence (advantageous)
- Basic computer skills
- Full training provided – bring a positive attitude, we’ll teach the rest.
