About The Role

ORS are currently seeking a Power Apps Developer to work across the Microsoft Power Platform to build & support custom business apps that meet the needs of our internal service divisions. You will be working with a multi-skilled information technology team to design, develop, implement, and maintain a portfolio of apps.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Propose system design of Power Platform products to meet new project requirements.
  • Work with management and staff to define application needs and identify feasible solutions.
  • Work with all levels of the organisation, both technical and non-technical, facilitating interactive design and functional specification sessions.
  • Provide critical thinking, problem solving, design, and most critically, attention to performance, scalability, reliability, and availability at the system and component level.
  • Drive innovation and collaboration with the newest advancements and features within the Power Platform.
  • Define criteria and conduct proof of concepts, proof of value, and prototyping to evaluate product and feature value and consideration for the organization.
  • Partner with the Senior Systems Engineer on business case development with careful consideration of migrating from current or legacy solutions and approaches.
  • Provide post-production support including the implementation of fixes and enhancements.
  • Document all design decisions and prepare operation manuals for the required divisions within the business to facilitate rapid uptake of new applications.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience is (preferred)
  • 2 years of relevant experience with the Power Platform (preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (highly regarded)
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (highly regarded)
  • A portfolio of PowerApps examples previously created would be (highly regarded)

Technical Skills/Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of the entire Power Platform stack (PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Query).
  • Proven experience developing and supporting Canvas and model-driven applications.
  • Business-to-technology translation skills are essential for identifying ways to apply solutions to help clients increase business value and performance.
  • Experience with SharePoint design and development
  • An eye for clean, easy to use, UI/UX implementations.
  • Experience with Dataverse, and developing Power Apps applications that leverage Dataverse as the data source.
  • Experience in automating business processes with Power Automate.
  • Design end-to-end solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing.
  • Understanding of data privacy and information security best practices in a health care environment.
  • Ability to work in a diverse information technology department that has differing skill levels.
