As our Team Leader - Asset Management, you'll lead a specialised team responsible for managing high-risk and complex collections accounts across Nissan Financial Services.
This is an opportunity to combine your leadership experience with your knowledge of collections and asset recovery, coaching and developing your team while overseeing complex recovery, repossession and remarketing activities.
You'll also play an important role in managing our external partners, including mercantile agents, auction houses and other service providers, ensuring strong performance against agreed service levels while delivering the right outcomes for our customers and the business.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and develop a team of Asset Management Officers, including regular 1-on-1 mentoring and individual development planning
- Oversee the day-to-day management of high-risk and complex collections accounts
- Provide guidance and escalation support across complex recovery and asset management matters
- Oversee recovery, repossession and remarketing activities while ensuring regulatory and compliance requirements are met
- Manage relationships and performance across external vendors, including mercantile agents and auction houses
- Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and drive strong recovery and customer outcomes
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, operational efficiency and customer experience
- Support loss mitigation and effective delinquency and portfolio management
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven leadership experience in financial services, asset management, or automotive finance
- Strong knowledge of leasing, collections, or asset recovery processes
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing a team
- Experience managing external relationships and vendor performance
- High levels of resilience and assertiveness while maintaining empathy and a customer-focused approach
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a focus on results
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strong stakeholder management skills
- A passion for coaching, team development, and driving performance
