Your opportunity…

Based on-site at our manufacturing facility, this role plays a key part in driving Nissan’s commitment toward zero harm while supporting the long-term sustainability of local manufacturing operations. You will work closely with operational leaders, employees, and external stakeholders to ensure strong safety systems, compliance, and injury management processes are maintained across site.

This is a part-time opportunity which will be contracted through our third party labour hirer, requiring 3 days per week onsite. There is no end date, with the opportunity to transition into an ongoing permanent position for the right candidate.

 

As the successful candidate, your key responsibilities would include:

  • Coordinating and maintaining workplace safety and RTW systems across the NCAP manufacturing site
  • Supporting safety reporting, compliance, and daily safety meetings
  • Managing relationships with WorkSafe Victoria and external safety providers
  • Assisting injured workers throughout the return-to-work process and coordinating suitable plans
  • Monitoring recovery progress and supporting positive return to work outcomes
  • Supporting site-wide safety initiatives, procedures, and continuous improvement activities
  • Maintaining compliance with Nissan global safety standards and local regulatory requirements
  • Working closely with leaders, supervisors, HR, and external stakeholders regarding safety and injury management matters

 

You will bring to this role…

  • 2–5 years experience within a Safety, RTW, Injury Management or EHS focused role
  • Experience working within a blue-collar, manufacturing, engineering, warehouse, or industrial environment (Automotive manufacturing highly regarded)
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices and return to work processes
  • Confidence managing sensitive conversations and stakeholder relationships
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while building strong onsite relationships
  • Understanding of WorkSafe and workplace compliance requirements
