The Opportunity
As the Senior Parts Planning & Dealer Support Specialist, you will take a lead role in delivering our key objective, ensuring the right part, right place, right time for customers across Australia and New Zealand.
You will lead a small team of local and offshore planners to optimise the inventory supply pipeline for parts and accessories. Your focus will be on maximising service levels while managing costs such as inventory holding, premium freight and obsolescence.
This is a hands-on senior role within a high-performing team, managing an inventory portfolio of approximately $40M across 50,000 part numbers. You’ll balance analytical rigour with practical problem-solving, ensuring seamless supply performance while building strong cross-functional and global partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and support a small team of local and offshore planners to maintain optimal inventory performance
- Validate system and human-generated forecasts and orders to ensure appropriate stock levels align with demand
- Oversee supplier ordering, freight mix optimisation and supply pipeline management
- Monitor supplier and 3PL warehouse performance to ensure agreed service levels are consistently achieved
- Manage team correspondence and workflows, ensuring all discrepancies and administrative tasks are actioned promptly
- Collaborate closely with aftersales, vehicle operations, procurement, finance, marketing and dealer network stakeholders
- Support the resolution of dealer enquiries via the iQ help desk and phone loop
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain Standard Operating Procedures across the function
- Lead by example, demonstrating proactivity, accountability and strong cross-cultural collaboration
About You
You are a proactive supply chain professional who thrives in a complex, fast-moving environment. You enjoy mentoring others, solving problems and working collaboratively across teams to deliver strong business outcomes.
You will bring:
- Comprehensive supply chain experience in inventory planning or a related discipline
- Strong analytical capability and attention to detail, ideally supported by a business or quantitative degree
- Experience managing forecasts, supplier ordering and freight decisions
- Confidence working with internal and external stakeholders in both local and global contexts
- Strong organisation, prioritisation and decision-making skills
- Leadership traits with the ability to guide and support others within the team
- Automotive industry experience or a working knowledge of vehicles (desirable)
