An exciting opportunity is available to join the Asset Management team at Nissan Financial Services. As an Asset Management Officer, you will play an important role in managing late-stage and complex collections matters, supporting the recovery and remarketing of financed vehicles, and ensuring all activity is completed in line with regulatory requirements and Nissan Financial Services’ internal processes.

This is a great opportunity for someone with collections experience who is looking to broaden their exposure across asset recovery, repossessions, external service providers and vehicle remarketing.

Your Opportunity

In this role, you will work across the asset management process, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to support effective recovery outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Issuing appropriate repossession notices and ensuring activity is completed in accordance with NCCP requirements and relevant debt collection guidelines
• Managing late-stage and complex collections accounts
• Allocating recovery matters to approved Mercantile Agents in line with established criteria
• Liaising with Mercantile Agents throughout the recovery process and ensuring agreed service levels are maintained
• Reviewing and recording agent updates to ensure accurate and up-to-date account information
• Working closely with Collection Officers to ensure accurate information is provided to Mercantile Agents
• Coordinating the remarketing of recovered vehicles through approved Auction Houses
• Supporting the achievement of the best possible recovery outcome when vehicles are sold
• Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring all activity meets compliance and operational requirements
• Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers

About You

• To be successful in this role, you will bring:
• Previous collections experience, ideally within financial services
• Knowledge of debt collection processes and practices
• Experience managing or supporting complex collections accounts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
• Confidence dealing with customers and external service providers
• The ability to manage competing priorities and progress matters efficiently
• A strong customer and compliance focus
• Experience across late-stage collections, vehicle finance, repossessions, asset recovery, mercantile agents or vehicle remarketing would be highly regarded.
