WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As a Senior Software Engineer - Telephony Technology Expert, you will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing the company's computer and telephony technology tools used for information management. You will lead a team, set strategic goals, and collaborate with the management team to integrate activities and optimize department resources. Your expertise will be crucial in facilitating application support, problem-solving, and technical issue resolution both internally and externally. Additionally, you will contribute to technical solutions, manage the RFP process, and ensure compliance with architecture, governance, and security standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Develop action plans and processes in coordination with the management team to meet major goals and objectives.
• Manage a team, set goals, coach staff, support development, and make hiring decisions.
• Provide application support, problem-solving, and issue resolution with internal and external resources.
• Contribute to technical recommendations and manage technical components of the RFP process.
• Define technical requirements and scope for projects, providing estimates for project budgets.
• Lead engagements with software vendors to ensure deliverables meet requirements.
• Enforce architecture, governance, security, and process standards for system changes and deployments.
• Collaborate with other teams on integration needs and database design.
• Approve proof of concept efforts and review technical designs and results.
• Ensure consistent technical approach within the department and enforce performance thresholds and standards.
• Oversee the creation of test plans, test execution, and validation of test results.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency with full-stack development, including React, AWS, Java, Terraform, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience managing databases in AWS storage and debugging front and back-end systems.
• Nice to have: Experience with Electron, performance testing with web applications.
