Lifestyle Assistant - Part-Time
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Lifestyle Assistant to join our friendly wellbeing team at Casey Manor in Narre Warren South to help our residents to achieve their personal goals.
What you will be doing:
Actively encouraging residents to participate in:
- Recreational & leisure experiences
- Planning, implementing and evaluating programs and plans
- Individual social engagement, emotional, spiritual & cultural support
- Family & Community liaison
- Community engagement & social justice projects
- Individual social engagement & emotional support
- Continually exploring new opportunities and programs to meet the needs of our residents
To succeed in this role, you will require the below:
- Certificate III or Cert IV in Leisure and Health
- Experience in Aged Care (highly desirable)
- Demonstrate an understanding of the differing cognitive, social, spiritual and cultural needs of residents
- Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Standards and expected outcome
- A compassionate, patient and proactive approach to working with older adults
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable
- Covid-19 Vaccinations (desirable)
