Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Contract Administrator- New Business to join our growing Studies team in Perth.

Reporting to the General Manager- Studies the Contract Administrator will be responsible for the management, and execution of all contracts, consultancy service agreements and confidentiality agreements for designated projects and studies, ensuring compliance with Lycopodium’s policies and procedures. 

The role supports the full contract lifecycle, from pre-award through to execution and administration, ensuring contractual obligations, risks, and commercial requirements are effectively managed.

The tasks you'll perform

  • Responsible for managing contract administration, due diligence, compliance, and new business initiatives to support the company’s operational and strategic growth objectives.
  • Facilitate informed commercial decision-making through the provision of accurate contract-related data, analysis, and reporting.
  • Provide contract administration and commercial support across the contract lifecycle to studies and project teams, including identification and escalation of risks, variations, and commercial issues.
  • Maintain professional and effective contract dealings with clients, vendors, and external stakeholders, aligned with company standards and values.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate contract terms, conditions, and structures in alignment with client requirements, approved proposals, and organisational risk profiles.
  • Coordinate the preparation, review, and execution of contracts, consultancy agreements, confidentiality agreements, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate and manage the contract approval process, including preparation and administration of Contract Review Forms, ensuring all technical, commercial, legal, and executive approvals are obtained in accordance with company procedures and delegation of authority requirements prior to execution.
  • Support the Job Opening Form (JOF) process by verifying that all contractual prerequisites, approvals, and documentation are in place prior to project set-up, ensuring compliance with company governance requirements.

The expertise you'll bring

  • Qualification in Engineering, Commerce or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in comparable role, with projects/EPC/EPCM experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex contractual and commercial information clearly and effectively.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst consistently delivering high-quality outcomes, and to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an ability to identify value-driven outcomes for clients and the organisation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a strategic approach to planning and decision-making aligned with organisational objectives.
